Test Results

Patients who have access to their medical record online can see the results on their medical record without having to ring the surgery.  To get access to this service you need to complete the application form for Online Services and show valid ID to reception staff who will pass your application to the GP for approval.  Having seen the results you may then want to speak to the GP/nurse to agree any further action or you may just be happy to see the results.  If you do not have online access and want to enquire regarding results of tests you have had via the surgery you can ring to check if the results have been received. The receptionist will take details of a number the nurse can contact you on to discuss your results. In general it is best to wait a week after your test before ringing the surgery:

For X-Rays and Ultra Sound Scans

ring 10 days after the X-ray/scan

For Blood tests

ring 1 week after the blood was taken

For Urine/Stool

ring 1 week after the sample was given
