Face masks must still be worn in all NHS buildings
England's Chief Nurse has reminded the public that everyone entering a healthcare setting must continue to wear a face covering (unless exempt) and follow social distancing rules.
Public Health England guidance says that infection prevention control guidelines should be followed by all staff and visitors across all health services including:
- GP practices
- Dental practices
- Optometrists
- Pharmacists
Staff, patients and visitors should continue to follow social distancing rules and use face coverings, masks and other personal protection equipment in NHS buildings and healthcare settings.
